Clem Schmidt from QIRX published the Linux QIRX Console a few days ago. I took me a while, with great help from Clem, to get in running in Ubuntu in a Virtual Machine. There’s no GUI. It’s all done in the Linux terminal. Clem has no intention to work on a GUI or major further developments. It’s more of a Linux experiment, but who knows what else he will come up with.
The audio is very wobbly at first but after 10 seconds or so it’s perfect. I ran Linux QIRX Console with an RTL_SDR. Mind you: do not use a LNA.
My old Stolle Multimatic rotator has some minor issues. After a couple of months of searching the Internet I found another one on Ebay. Year of build: 1974/1975! The rotator is brand-new in the box with a manual and a warranty card! Incredible. Not a single trace of even being used and working perfectly well. 165 euros, shipping from Germany included.
