A few days ago Jan Van Katwijk launched Qt-DAB-6.9.1 introducing an Electronic Program Guide (epg).
This is still experimental in its development! Be beware there aren’t many muxes deploying epg.
At my location only 9A WDR Regional (10FA) is using it.
The experimental Qt-DAB-6.9.1 can be downloaded from on Jan’s Github releases page.
Jan Van Katwijk appreciates your comments and feedback on his Qt-DAB Github issues page.
How to use the epg, if there are muxes using it in your area?
After downloading Qt-DAB-6.9.1 you will notice it’s installed in another folder than your previous version of Qt. Typically it is C:\Program Files (x86)\qt-dab32-qt6-6.9V3.1.
Your firewall will probably need permission to run Qt-DAB-6.9.1 correctly. Don’t forget to upload the database with the new loader.
How does it work?

- Make sure the controls widget is running.
- Are ‘epg automatic’ and ‘epg automatic’ on?
- This EPG icon will appear in the main widget if there’s any epg going on.
- Open the Technical Details widget.
- Click on the timeTable button when it’s no longer gray, which can take a while.
Now an epg widget will pop up.

This new option generates quite a few files which can easily accessed with the button on the main Widget (C:\Users\***\Qt-DAB-files)
